Obsolescence, nuclear devastation, orphanhood, to list a very tame few. But 'cartoons are for kids', remember. That does remind me of a funny story about Brave Little Toaster. The film was admitted to Sundance and ultimately lost the grand jury prize. Before the ceremony, however, the judges approached director Jerry Rees to inform him that Toaster was the best in show, but they feared giving the prize to an animated film would damage Sundance's reputation.
