UshiromiyaEva 07/28/22 10:47:09 PM #53: | Fell a bit behind, so just going to bring up the stuff that stands out to me. Stuff that was good before is still good now. The Ram V and Jock run has started on Detective Comics, and its coming out swinging. Its a stark contrast to Batman, makes the 2 books stand out from each other a whole lot, which is exactly how I want it. Theres nothing worse than when Bat and DTec are interchangeable. ASM #900 fell totally flat, feel like this was a love letter to old Amazing Fantasy comics and it just did nothing for me. Same goes for Claremonts Gambit #1. I have NO Claremont affinity, so felt nothing evading this, and had trouble following. Wouldnt be surprised if but Claremont X-readers felt otherwise. Cant say the same for Ewings Ant-Man #1, which seems to be following that trend but unlike those books I totally fell in love with the aesthetic of this issue. Not surprising! The big winner is the new Maxi series Superman: Space Age, which feels like the second coming of New Frontier. Looks like its going to be taking place between the 60s and the 80d as a real time aging Superman story, and the first issue was flawless. --- https://twitter.com/OocWTC/status/1348011667976699904?s=19 ...
