I tried one years ago and didn't really like it.

With a couple of exceptions, I've never been a fan of pre-mixed alcohol drinks that you can buy.

I'd much rather buy a bottle of vodka and then juice, ice tea, lemonade etc. from the grocery store and make my own drinks.

My own drinks taste way better, are cheaper and stronger too.

4 loko is hit and miss on their flavors. Some are really good some are fucking awful. And it varies by person. Gold has held strong for a long time though I see it in most gas stations I go to and have for years while most other flavors only hang around inna store for a little while before being replaced.

People say gold tastes like red bull. Never had red bull so I can't confirm. But it's Allright. My favorite was red which was cherry flavored. Odd cause I typically dislike cherry
