If 30 of those shots were stray, that's 30 chances for bystanders to be struck, which then defeats the purpose if the concern was bullets and bystanders. I'd have to go back and watch the footage, but I'm pretty sure Jayland fled into a field. While there is still that potential for stray bullets or ricochets, I feel the chances are as minimal as you could hope for given time of day --- The name is wackyteen for a reason.
