I care more about who Im around rather than how much money I make. So, even if he would of gotten it, it stillakes sense to me to stay around people I already like.

Then again, I don't really know the feeling of putting in a shitload of work to not be sufficiently paid for it. That would probably change me some

Id put a connection with a girl over a high paying job as well. If the history was long enough. Not for someone I recently met.

You know it's an interesting point. Regardless of how difficult and how excessive the workload is, most people put up with it all. But if the environment around them is what sucks, like who they work with and the people around them, that is usually the dealbreaker.

Seen it several times and experienced it. Even with minimal workload if you're miserable around the people at your job you'd prefer the higher workload with people you work well with. Eg if you're in a place where all your coworkers smoke in the office, you'd feel suffocated and just not comfortable in that environment.
