One of the best early game tricks is to go right near the beach in the first area you really play in (all them bugs). You will see a green orb that replenished all your HP and MP.

What you do is try to get 2 bugs to come at you at the same time so you get an AMBUSH!.

When you finish the battle, you will get a green bonus board token that gives you 1SP per battle finished.

Zone out by dipping into the nearby cave and back out to set up another ambush.

Do this 10 times until your board is full of SP bonuses.

Now just grind your little heart out and get thousands of SP. When you need a heal or some more MP just hit the orb and replenish for free.

Doing this can make you dummy OP for the early game, especially if you pump points into the critical hit skill and your MP and HP up skills. Also always a good idea to max out drop skills to harvest mats.
