Yeah, people are mixing good character with charisma, which Soldier Boy and Homelander have charisma because the actors playing as them do such an amazing performance. If you watched this or any of the episodes and conclude that he's a "good character", you're nuts. He's essentially the original Homelander, a giant abusive asshole that thinks he can do whatever he wants because he was the leader. The only reason I can think some people think he's a "good character" because he's never done any of the "repulsive shit" on screen like some of the other supes have done.
