you can usually get better food at a restaurant though because they have equipment and ingredients specialized to make certain dishes that most people dont have in their homes

thats not even considering the experience of going to a restaurant or the ease of having a meal prepared for you rather than getting everything yourself and having to cook it all and deal with all the cleanup

really its kind of stunning that you think you were being at all nice or helpful by responding to someone being excited about going somewhere fun for their birthday by telling them they could just cook dinner at their own home, something they obviously already know they can do
