Not really a fan of a lot of the MIDI instruments used in Precipitous Combat. Particularly the strings and brass. The mix is pretty weird too. This one would be a lot better with real instruments. The melody and song structure is pretty solid, but the actual sound brings it down a lot for me.

Heart of Concrete is fun. The particular synth used for the melody isn't my favorite, but it isn't bad. Nice e-guitar too, though I wish it did more than it does. Decent song, and it definitely will be getting my vote.

Raise Thy Sword in Pride goes well with Heart of Concrete with a similar e-guitar. The mix is way too heavy on the e-guitar though, drowning out basically everything else. Bassline is good, but barely audible. Some good things are here, mixed in with some other things that aren't my favorite, making this more of a middling track for me.

Chani's Eyes is such an interesting track. I didn't like it much initially during noms, but I think I like it more now. Some really interesting soundscapes here and overall atmosphere. Actually a pretty close match for me.

Aquatic Ambiance is easily my favorite track of the day. Great melody, good synth choices, and fantastic atmosphere. One of David Wise's best pieces.

Well, Frantic Aspic sure is frantic. I like some of the synths and the cello used here. But yeah, it doesn't hold a candle to AA.

Ok day today, with Aquatic Ambiance carrying the group.

Votes:
