Aaaaaand even then, oops, 205+ enemies all shred through armor regardless unless you have a full set of like 1/10,000 rarity items that have perfect effects for every slot... plus they have basically 100% rates to inflict status ailments, plus the bosses spam attacks that close distance so mages can't work as well (or at all since some arenas are so small). Straight up, any build that isn't perfect guarding as paladin or whatever will never manage to get through between attacks because they'd only have time for maybe 2 hits between attacks. It's like if that malenia from elden rings spammed her omnislash attack with a second between uses.
