I wouldnt say they are similar. I think his second game may be a bit closer (Haunted Chocolatier) but it hasnt released yet and was only recently announced.

Stardew Valley is more a farming Sim where you plant and water crops while designing your farm and forming relationships with the villagers (through gifts)

there is a combat aspect to the mines but its very simplistic and a minor part of the game.
