They're not exactly "free" but they're not in prison, either Actually hospice care, if they weren't in a nice one themselves, can be a step up or down. At 70+, if you weren't taking care of yourself like Jack Lalane, your body is the prison if your brain is still working right. It beats you up in the morning when you wake up, it slows you down in the afternoons, it tires you out by night. And you're always leaking something from somewhere.
