Considering that his name is Josef S. and theres another Josef S. on the Central Council quoted in the article, it doesnt seem impossible that there could have been another Josef S. born in the same region on the same day, especially if its a fairly common surname.

If it was him then he deserves the sentence and should have faced punishment a long time ago, but based on what it says in the article I think that there wouldnt have been enough to find him guilty if it werent such a high profile case of someone being accused of being a Nazi.
