I love talking to military recruiters. They're some of the nicest and fun people. I got kicked out of the app program because they found out a lot my low platelet disorder that I used to have. Didn't matter that I wasn't physically and mentally more apt than 98% of the other people. They dropped me like a bad habit.

Fast forward I was living with my Dad for a while shortly after that post high school since I never got to see him much, and they had a recruiter office in town. I went in the door and that started one of the best friendships I ever had, plus learning about the VFW and meeting lots of guys there.

Military guys are some of the best friends you'll have. I always wanted to join, but never could. When I tried again later they had me flagged, but the recruiter made me feel better about it. If you've got one in town or near by, go in and talk with them. They're usually bored anyway, haha.

"Not as bad as what they're doing to the Easter Bunny."
