Whatever. What kind of shitty coding causes this lol. Does the authentication provider concatenate their SQL queries?

Spaces have never impacted concatenated SQL queries before I'm not sure why you think that's the issue.

I don't know what the new authentication provider is or how it works (it's not implemented yet) but if I had to guess I'd say it probably has something to do with Base64 strings and URL encoding not playing nice with each other.

In URL encoding a blank space is %20 And a plus symbol is %2B however when DECODING, a blank space does not decode and a + decodes to a blank space (+ is shorthand for %20). Because + is a legal Base64 character, if you URL decode a Base64 string you risk corrupting it.
