City Trial ~ City
Twilight of the Gods
Nature

--
City Trial ~ City [9.4]
Abstract Map [8.5]

This matchup is really unfair, because the synths from City Trial have never left my head for the past 15+ years. Kirby Air Ride is LOADED with a bunch of great songs, and while I think I still prefer the Backside version just a tad bit more, City Trial is a fantastic song that defines the Air Ride experience.

Abstract Map on the other hand is really cool, with its heavy leaning into vaporwave territory. The vocals that show up are kinda addicting in their own way and just add to the quirkyness for the overall song.

Battle! (Arceus) ~ Phase 4 [6]
Twilight of the Gods [8.6]

I can appreciate the glitch noises and the supposed intensity from the drums that stem from fighting a god in the world you inhabit, but I really wish the drums would be left alone and just have a solid moment to really shine through in this phase. Other than that, I like the idea but the execution isn't really doing it for me right now.

Like the majority of FE themes that stick out in my mind, I really appreciate the dramatic tone this song carries. The strings and choir work very well together as usual, just some really good sounds from this song.

Nature [8.1]
In Hell We Live, Lament [7.8]

Nature isn't as strong to me as a couple of other Kaze no Notam tracks (like Discovery), but I still like the chill vibes overall as well as the weird synths that are scattered about.

This Mili song is honestly pretty alright. I do like the vocals together, even if the pitch coming from them is still a bit of an acquired taste for me. I'm not passionate about it, but I think this could warm up to me eventually.
