Topic	[VGMC] Day 24! SilentD/SpiritOfTheM, Panditah7/SkyOfT, MorningB/MADLASTW

Definitely not something I'd return to. The Spirit of the Mountain is such a cool track. Love the instrumentation used throughout, just like all the other Alto songs in the contest. Great percussion especially. The atmospheric effects add a lot as well. I do wish we had a higher quality audio file of this, but that'll come in due time I suppose. Great track. ~~Speaking of songs we don't have good quality files of.~~ It's really hard to appreciate Panditah when the audio quality is this bad lol. It's mostly ambient stuff anyways, which I can appreciate to a certain degree, but it'll have a hard time against something with more substance to it like Sky of Twilight. Sky of Twilight has some neat elements in the guitars particularly. The vocals aren't my favorite though. The mix isn't great either. In the end, this song ends up being decent with the good elements balancing out with the not-so-good elements. Morning Bell is definitely my favorite track in Bracket C and probably top 3 in the entire contest for me. The orchestration is sooo good in this. With the brass leading the intro, followed by flute, piano, and strings trading around the melody. The string-writing is incredible, which isn't an easy thing to do at all (Kanno makes it seem easy tho). The flute solo starting at 2:44 is really lovely, and the soft timpani to back it up is so good. Then the buildup from 3:29 till it climaxes with the main motif (which is super good btw) again is just fantastic. Then the short violin solo at 4:54 makes me a bit emotional every time. Such a great track, and it'll really hard to top this. The transition from Morning Bell to MAD LAST WORLD is a bit jarring lol. I like this a bit more than I did during noms, though the motifs are kinda all over the place. I like the piano and sax parts in particular. But yeah, this doesn't touch Morning Bell for me. I really like Spirit of the Mountain and Morning Bell from today. The rest is eh.
