Alright yeah I get that. I don't think the story was really focused on him once the tournament starts, so he didn't feel like a main character to me anymore. He gets his powerup too easy for what it is too, once that happened I didn't think he was gonna save the day anymore because it would be too simple. Just using him to get absorbed by Boo does suck though, I just don't think half the arc is dedicated to that.

No one talks about this but I think Mr. Satan and Fat Boo have a very compelling part where it seems like Satan is going to actually turn Boo around, and it's just regular malicious humans that push him dby killing a dog. Like I think that could have really led to something narratively interesting but nothing comes of it besides turning fat boo into a different character entirely. That probably disappoints me more than anything!
