Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (PC)

Definitely the best Shantae of the three, though I feel like my "ideal" Shantae game might just be Shantae 1 remade in this game's engine, with a map. The lack of transformations is kinda sad, but it makes sense with the story and the new abilities are fun.

In terms of plot this is probably the best one of the three. All the major characters are more likeable, though this has come at the expense of making them pretty different from their previous personalities (and almost universally dumber, except Shantae, for whom it's a lateral move). I really liked the Shantae + Risky team-up. On the other hand, this game is - unfortunately - significantly hornier than previous games in the series.

I had occasional issues with input lag, but I think it was my computer shitting itself trying to run this utterly undemanding 2D game.

I've ordered a hard copy of Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition but I think I'm gonna take a Shantae break and play something else first.
