Fun fact: the term "tankie" was coined to describe a liberal that somehow got tricked into supporting fascist regimes because they say "Socialism" a lot. Mostly appeared in the 80s, now popping up again with Ukraine and Russia. Actually, more originated in the 50s with the USSR's invasion of Hungary. There was a throughline with other conflicts too - Cambodia, Bosnia, and Syria - before Ukraine. The denialism around all three of those conflicts is immense, and involves 'respected' authors like Chomsky. I'm socialist and I was shocked when I became aware of this crap. Complete revisionism. Grayzone is the big one, but there's tons of YouTube content for those people - Russell Brand, Jimmy Dore, Bad Faith Podcast, Convo Couch, Rising with The Hill, Breaking Points...could keep going.
