It is important to keep in mind that the 360 remake version also had achievements and also had people (mostly just devs, but still) unlocking them. It still got pulled at the last minute. Im hopeful this is happening, but giving the nature of this particular game, Im waiting for an official announcement to believe its true. I think the chances of it getting canned a second time are low.
