It shouldn't be something the police just file away as a minor thing but it happens. And with so many other things. It's no wonder many countries faith in their police isn't good and sadly can only contribute to people not bothering to report crimes. And yeah, as others said, definitely good on you for sticking up for your fianc! The more of us that do, the better.
