It's important to pick a variety of countries, decades, and scenarios, or else you end up with a bunch of Americanized 'war hero overcomes the odds' and 'war is bad' in every single movie, which would get repetitive if you are marathonning them. I know you are aiming for all the most famous ones, but all the most famous will end up repetitive. There are still a ton of famous films that fit the category. Yeah this is a big reason I included Stripes and Good Morning Vietnam in mine. Some comedies could lighten the mood a bit. I also really like Corrik's choices of Alexander, Kingdoms of Heaven and Troy.
