The TV airing I think, I've actually never watched the others or the movies although I think I'd been told to watch Rebellion on a few occasions. I'm always wary with anime movies because it's often an effort to figure out what's recap or a soft reboot or canon if you've been out of the loop for a few years *cough* Eva *cough*. I'll probably watch up to episode 3 of the TV release regardless, but would another version be particularly worthwhile? Bluray/home video release is what you want optimally. The movie versions look the best but it's obviously been condensed for film. Home release has everything and also looks better. As for the movies, 1 and 2 are just the recap movies.
