Just about my only issue is Madoka ensured everything in the genre after it would pale in comparison. lots of post-Madoka magical girl shows are good imo. Hugtto Precure probably the best of them? There's also Heartcatch Precure, which ended after Madoka started, but started before Madoka, so I guess that doesn't count. Prisma Ilya's pretty good too.
