I deleted my post above (not fast enough to get quoted in #13, though), but yeah. If you're going to be punished anyway, you may as well just cut loose.

Yeah, my father taught me a long time ago (maybe first grade) that if I was being bullied then I should decide quickly to either leave immediately or punch the kid and not to stop until he was out. He didnt care about suspensions or whatever because his reasoning was that my physical safety was in jeopardy anyway and it was too late by then to worry about what an administrator had to say about it.

The more I think about it, tense situations did turn out better for me when I followed that lesson and I couldve been seriously injured during those times when I didnt follow it.
