I dunno how handwaving mental illness became the go-to defense for people trying to push false narratives, especially when the person who was placed in a mental health facility after making his threats of violence against random people went on to commit violence against random people.

But I guess it's easier to try to claim racism than taking a critical look at the failings of America's mental health system, particularly when you have a vested interest in propping up that failed system while simultaneously using your false claims to push new government overreach.
