| Topic | Do you think positions should have a cap for salary thats known and accepted? |
| Ozmose 05/14/22 5:09:15 AM #2: | There's definitely problems with that plan. I think real issues would rear their head when you get closer to the top of the ladder. In my situation for example, there's only one position ahead of mine. When I take that promotion, I would hit a ceiling that would be unavoidable. There are certainly positions that pay more in the company, but not in engineering. They would mainly be upper management type corporate positions. I would essentially need to completely change careers to advance, or settle with never getting another raise. --- Most people are other people.
