"Hello Bob, my brother who I love and have not seen in 25 years!"

There's a commercial that irritates me so badly over this. Some life insurance commercial that plays constantly on my parent's tv. If you've seen it you'll know from this.

"What's up with grandma's casserole?"
"It's for your uncle Joe's funeral. My brother didn't have life insurance. His wife and children are suffering now."
"I should get insurance, mom."
"Yes, son, you should. You have a wife, and children, and even grandkids now."

...like, this is his mom he's talking with. I understand calling grandma and uncle Joe by those terms, but they have to identify their relationships with each other every sentence.
