Oh, yes, definitely. I'm not in contact with him (he's a virulent homophobe) but my body builder uncle (mother's side) was abused by his wife for years. Like threatened with knives and such. My mother's mother's brother was also abused- his wife was a serial adulterer who emptied his bank accounts for one of her lovers. It, uh... did not end well.
