So I have a question for you One Piecers, is the anime currently in danger of catching up to the manga at all? I think I heard that in recent years, they massively slowed down the anime (like , one chapter an episode) so that cant happen. If the show had anything resembling regular pacing then it would be catastrophically close to catching up. But yes, they're stick to around a chapter an episode, if not slightly less. This combined with the actual pacing of this arc even in the manga... When I think about how it's going to take just under a year to get to where the manga is now, and I think of how little there actually is in that time frame to cover all things considered, and compare it to an actual 4 cour anime...it's mind blowing how someone could actually watch it.
