They certainly made an effort to look like a detective story but Batman was being led by the nose the whole movie and an entire hour of it revolved around him being stumped by a bird pun. He just walked back and forth between the same people asking questions until the riddler killed someone else. He didn't stop a single murder and didn't find the riddler. He didn't solve shit and then he lost. Fuck awful detective. This. I have no problem with them leaning harder into the detective angle, but the writing is fucking atrocious. ...
