And by last, I mean first. Every word that rhymes with "lair" that I can think of ends in -lare. Blare, flare, glare. The only -lair word I can think of is eclair, which obviously doesn't work. Either time to start guessing crap or consult a dictionary, ig.
There's at least one letter that can end in both -lare and -lair. It's also easy to forget that an exact sounding word can mean something else and be spelt differently. This has almost tripped me up at least once in past puzzles.
