There's always the chance that nobody else will bid on it, and you will get it for $21, or however much you bid. Why bid $50 then? You're paying more than you have to.

If you don't want to pay more than $21, don't bid more than $21. If you're "paying more than you have to" (you really mean more than you want to) it's 100% exclusively because of the amount you put as your max bid.

You are clearly the one that has no idea what you're talking about.

No, Medussa is 100% correct. I've been using ebay for buying and selling since it opened, and you're wrong.

If you want to pay $50 instead, be my guest.

If you don't want to pay $50 then don't bid $50. Who do you think is choosing your max bid for you?

If you want to be an asshole and last second bid, then piss off. I don't like snipers. And neither does anyone else.

Then don't bid on ebay auctions. Use "buy it now" sales. You clearly have no idea how ebay auctions work.
