Like thats how eBay works. Thats how its always been. You wait until the last few seconds, put in your max bid and hope for the best. That way you dont even have to deal with a bidding war and paying more than necessary.

Its not rocket science.

But then you screw others by inflating their bid. I'm sure if you were in their shoes, you'd feel the same way, thinking you're about to pay $20 for something, then at the last minute it explodes up to $100, putting you on the hook because some jackass decided to try to snipe your bid.
