71yo man charged with a felony for making a pickleball court
He destroyed an indoor basketball court by drawing on the shiny wooden floor with a permanent black marker. What he did was vandalism. He deserves the criminal charge. However, I do agree with the lawyer in the video that having the pickleball community pay for the repairs and have them do community work in exchange for the man's exoneration sounds reasonable. Not only does it spare the government from spending a lot of money in court, but it also punishes the people responsible by teaching them through experience the cost of defacing property like that. Plus the city gets a bunch of people doing unpaid work. No one gains anything by prosecuting him like that when there's a much better solution to the problem.

It's not what I would call The Onion like. Please do better.
