Also, I came up with a theory that Laphicet gives himself up to cure Velvet of daemonblight so she doesn't have to live the rest of her life as the Lord of Calamity. I'm pretty sure that at least one of them is gonna die. I'm prepared for an emotional ending because this game is set up for it.
