Unfortunately this interaction isn't used for any of Pidgeot's record shots. However it is Magikarp's 4* record, which I'll show here. If you still want a Pidgeot after this then just let me know.

This is another famously hard shot in a game filled with hard shots. This picture suffers from what's been called the "Squirtle Effect" (named after the Squirtle 4*). In certain instances when Pokemon are moving fast enough, they get some kind of disjointed placement hitbox, and the game seems to calculate its placement based on where it was on the previous frame rather than the frame when you took the picture. Hence why this is considered 1000 placement despite being off-center (it may also account for 2000 size despite being cut off, although I feel like that's not always the case). On the plus side, the main subject being further to the right completely unobstructs the background, which does seem to be calculated correctly based on the visual placement in the photo.
