It is actually a bit surprising to me how many people I think are usually pretty smart on Twitter have had similar very bad takes trying to bend over backwards to justify Russian aggression.In 2022 people are willing to compeltely forego any sense of logic, or just easily discard any past beliefs if the "correct" person tells them to. See: all of the boomer conservatives who grew up fearing/hating Russia, who are saying he is justified in invading, and the Ukrainians arming themselves to fight off a tyrannical foreign government are somehow in the wrong. See also the other people that said the worst of the BLM rioting was "justified" because "sometimes civil disobedience requires blocking a few highways and burning a few buildings" acting completely apalled that the FluTruxKlan followed their template to a T --- Props to azuarc, the current Guru of the Decade.
