I don't actually know anything about it since this course is super confusing and I haven't done serious attempts at any of the Volcarona shots. You can see that it has everything going for it: high pose (Illuminas get a 1000 point bonus over standard Pokemon), huge synergy (since Other Pokemon is calculated from the side Pokemon's own score), and a background.
