Memories of Celceta was alright but I wouldn't say it was great or anything. Ys VIII is such an overrated game though. I had to force myself to finish the game. Tried the series again with Ys IX multiple times and most recently I tapped out around the 10th hour. The game was so similar in structure to Trails of Cold Steel but the dialogue had like no soul in it and it had all the monotonous aspects of Ys VIII like the mind numbingly boring raids/tower defense crap which repeats like crazy. The Monstrum powers were cool but the execution feels a little too janky for me to have fun traversing around. After a while I felt the same way I did about VIII and even more so I put the game to rest permanently. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
