Topic	Did any of you like the newer total recall movie more than the classic one?
wpot 02/17/22 4:48:40 PM #3:	I just watched the new Total Recall recently. The special effects/acting were, of course, better (although there's a particular charm to cheesy 80s acting). But the plot was what made the movie fun, and the it became less scifi and more...anticolonial. And the setting became less scifi and more "standard futuristic action movie". Instead of wondering "where is this going" with a sense of wonder it was "oh, the oppressed with overthrow their overlords". Meh. --- Pronounced "Whup-pot". Say it.
