That's basically me with DotA 2. All those hours have been almost exclusively against bots. Sometimes with friends, sometimes solo, I just go through phases of it being my go-to "need to kill 30-45 minutes" game or being in the mood for a couple casual rounds. I know the game inside and out (or did, since it's seen some major patches in the last couple years that I haven't really kept up with), but I've never really "gutten gud" at it.

Lol, pretty much the same for this game for me as well. I know all the characters & the general character & item builds, but the moment I start getting good at the mechanical aspects like last hitting & the like I get bored and move on. I started a little bit after the 7.00 patch & have several hundred hours against bots & unranked lobbies, but never played ranked.

The cycle usually starts with me watching a stream at a whim getting interested on the new changes, playing a couple matches, but never progressing much from there. I guess I mostly a grazer with games. I have hundreds of games with 20-30 hours on them, but very few that go over a 100 with me. It is hard for me to play a game more than a month. I like the idea of being good at a game initially, but realize that it is pretty silly especially if I am not making or playing with friends, so I move on.
