He was able to evolve the character beyond Spider-Man 2 in the right ways, and he found some good nuance in giving Otto a sense of reflection in the screentime he had so that it felt like, of all of these characters, he was the one to really change. Dafoe just being big and Goblinesque isn't particularly impressive to me. It's the little things that I always appreciate. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
