sure, but if you're a teacher looking to work in iowa, and you see that every 4 years the school system there is going to collapse, then why would you even choose it? and if you're a new parent why would you want to raise your kid in a state with a broken education system?

moves like this look great in the short term, they embolden the base and keep you in office off the wave of stupid. but in the long term it leads to a huge drain of population. iowa's already got issues with that, this can only make it worse.

This is what those parents want. In their mind its not broken, its teaching the propaganda they want. Theyre trying to change education into essentially a religion, where the narrative and facts are controlled.
