Had he not included the word immigrant his actions would have been seen as pure rage and either totally justified or understandable and forgiveable under the circumstances.

he made it not about the drink preparers stupidity but about nationality. It doesnt matter whether it came from anger or not but in todays society that is how it is percieved.

actually if he said no nuts and they put nuts in he should have called the cops to file a report of attempted murder and let them find the culprit.

whether or not a case could be made for that would be irrelevant as then he would have been justified in letting them investigate the incident.

for all we know it was intentional. Many servers like to stick it to you when you tell them something is an issue. They are not supposed to, and most dont but still. It happens. Given the severity of the sons condition a 911 call to demand video footage or work schedules or intimidate the workers into telling the truth would have been a better option.
