My son has a peanut allergy. I'd typically avoid getting something for him from a place like that, but if I were to get him something, I damn sure would mention his allergy and specifically request they use clean equipment and utensils when prepping his smoothie. It's not enough to simply request "no nuts", if that's in fact all this dude did

That said, even if I went through all that - requesting clean equipment etc - and my kid had a reaction, my anger wouldn't turn me into a violent racist. That dude is, at his core, a violent racist.

You don't commit acts of violence and spew racist hatespeech and then turn around and say "this isn't who I am" because you got fucking caught and are seeing the consequences of your behavior. No, motherfucker. That's exactly who you are.

Not saying he's beyond forgiveness or shouldn't be allowed the opportunity to grow and learn from this, but if he is truly going to learn from this, he needs first to accept that he had some deep-seated issues he needs to work through. Own that bullshit, dude. Apologize and say you'll work on becoming a better, more empathetic person.
