Look, when it's a billion $ company that's known for some of the greatest game franchises of all time, but has fallen into absolute squalor over the past ~5 years or so...you can't help but want somebody with the resources and know-how to come in and make some changes from above.

Kotick drained the soul right out of Blizzard, so the worst Microsoft can do is keep it that way. Nothing bad can come of this, because Blizzard is already at the rock bottom of creativity. It needs change, like...right now.

Even if we entertain this side of the argument, what kind of precedent (on Microsofts end) is allowing you to draw the conclusion that things will stay the same at worst? Theres no evidence in their prior history to support this claim.

Blizzard hasn't done anything of worth since Legion came out and I think Activision is living off CoD alone. Maybe all the supposed talent there can do something now.

Yeah maybe Microsoft can acquire all these big name companies, raise the price of Gamepass to $20+ a month, and charge us added fees to stream old games! Sounds great!
