One last dick move from my departing roommate: instead of leaving his keys in the apartment like I asked him to (Im out of town at the moment, and new roommates were moving in; I separately arranged for the other set of keys to get to one of the new roommates), he apparently left his keys with a friend, made no arrangements to get the keys to my new roommates, and has yet to give us the contact info of this friend

Update: still no keys, ex-roommate is insisting we go an hour or so out of our way to pick them up from his friend (whose contact info he's refusing to give us), is lying and claiming my incoming roommate asked him not to leave them in the apartment (which would make no sense since I already got the other set to her) and is claiming he has no responsibility to get the keys back to us.

I'd suck it up and go pick them up at the friends' place, but I'm still out of town for two more weeks and the new roommates don't want to give in to his shit.
