Good to know that it's not just me. I wasn't expecting a BSOD in the middle of gameplay, but thankfully I only lost five minutes since my prior save. Not a big deal. If I'd lost an hour... yeah that would be aggravating.

As for the true name thing, yeah, that weird name at the end must have been Eizen's, and that's probably why he was so protective of that letter. I take it Zestiria girl being his sister is something I would know about if I played ToZ, but I can see the familial resemblance anyway, so no worries about that. I'm not quite sure how malaks breed or anything like that, and it would be fascinating to learn it. The more of those details you examine in the game proper, the better experience the player will have. You don't want to dismiss things as irrelevant or you end up with something like Vesperia, where the world-building is too simplified.

Playing just a bit...
1. Phi's "It worked! HUGE SUCCESS!" makes me think "This was a triumph."
2. Kids in the village talking about creating jeweled purple eggs... I highly doubt egg yolks change color depending on what a hen eats. An egg is simply a chicken's period, after all.
3. Blah blah blah equipment management Part 1
4. The architect's apprentice makes it pretty blatant that this place is VERY different in Zestiria - it's not a mere pioneering town, it's a bustling metropolis there. Possibly with a bell tower that's... a rock? Okay.
5. The town was called "Stoneberry" because of the abundance of stone and berries, but the spelling changed to look more like that of a town (Stonebury sounds like a place in Connecticut tbqh). The radishbell potato is highly toxic right now, but they're breeding them. In a thousand years or so, they'll only have enough poison to keep bugs away and keep the potatoes ripe for breeding. She also mentions something from the Survivor 42 trailer: "Potatoes have skin. I have skin. Am I a potato?" (Okay, she came CLOSE to making that adage.)
6. Blah blah blah equipment management part 2

I have a headache. I think I need to go lay down for a bit... may or may not play later. We'll see.
